Our clients are like friends or family and we make it our goal to treat and service them as such. This level of care received national recognition in 2016, with the British Insurance Industry Award in 2016 for our work in the wake of the flooding in Cumbria at the end of 2015. These are the standards we set ourselves, we aim to become part of a client's business, their own in house insurance advisory and assistance team. Our office has its roots in three of the most respected names in the Carlisle insurance market, Dixon & Watt, Ross Lloyd & Pattinson Edwards. These three brokerages serviced local clients back as far as the 1960s. Smart & Cook acquired the Dixon & Watt business in 2004 and become part of Bluefin in 2007. Their local presence was significantly enhanced with the purchase of Ross Lloyd in 2010.
